The 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ delivers more power, longer all-electric range and faster charging capabilities when compared to the Audi Q8 e-tron. The all-new Cadillac LYRIQ’s single-motor rear-wheel-drive system offers a Cadillac-estimated 340 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque, while available dual motors power all four wheels for a Cadillac-estimated 500 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque—plus added trailering capability. The Audi Q8 e-tron’s dual motors with e-quattro AWD make a combined 355 hp and 414 lb-ft of torque, while engaging Sport mode briefly unlocks 402 hp—which is still less than LYRIQ.

Comparing battery and range, Q8 e-tron gets a 114 kWh battery for EPA-estimated range up to 285 miles and a DC fast-charging speed of 170 kW, while LYRIQ’s single-motor RWD models can travel up to 314 miles on a full charge, and dual-motor AWD models can travel up to 307 miles. In addition, LYRIQ offers faster charging capabilities, including standard 190 kW Public DC Fast Charging that adds up to 77 miles of range in about 10 mins and the included dual-level charging cord for up to 21 miles per hour of charge. In addition, 11.5 kW Level 2 PowerUp AC Charging adds up to 31 miles in about an hour, while available 19.2 kW Level 2 PowerUp+ AC Charging provides up to 67% more power for up to 51 miles per hour.

The all-new Cadillac LYRIQ’s accommodating interior adopts a rear bench seat with one-touch fold second-row 60/40 seatbacks and comfortable seating for up to five. LYRIQ’s trunk area includes up to 28 cubic feet of cargo volume, while folding down the second row gets you an increased 60.8 cubic feet of cargo capacity.

The Audi Q8 e-tron has 28.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row and 56.4 cubic feet with the seats folded flat, which is slightly less than the LYRIQ—and on Sportback, Q8 e-tron’s sloping roofline further reduces cargo room by 2 cubic feet. Compared to Q8 e-tron’s 38.1 inches of front headroom and 40.8 inches of front legroom, the Cadillac LYRIQ offers more passenger room as well, including up to 38.6 inches of front headroom and 44.2 inches of front legroom. In the rear, LYRIQ gets an impressive 37.7 inches of headroom and 39.6 inches of legroom.
